Welcome to Alpha Delta Pi at GW

Established in 1851, Alpha Delta Pi, the first secret society for women, was founded on principles of scholarship, leadership, service to others and sisterhood. Recently awarded the title of Chapter of the Year, GW's Alpha Dela Pi is known for sisters who are involved campus leaders, including serving on Class Council, Colnial Cabinet, GW Cheer Team, Program Board, the Neighbor's Project, Hippothon and various sports teams. While staying involved on campus and in local internships, our chapter remains dedicated to scholarship and maintained the highest GPA of all the Panhellenic sororities.

A chapter committed to philanthropy, Alpha Delta Pi raises money each year for The Ronald McDonald House Charities by hosting two philanthropy events. In the fall, our chapter hosts JAIL n BAIL, a daylong event where sisters are paired GW students to raise funds. In the spring, fraternities compete in our Lionshare Challenge - a volleyabll tournament. In addition to our annual philanthropy events, sisters volunteer at local Ronald McDonald houses in the DC area. Within the Greek community, the chapter participates in philanthropy events and won GW's Greek Week, a competition among all on-campus sororities and fraternities.

Dedication to sisterhood serves as the basis for many activities, from our fall retreat to our spring formal, whi we held this year at the historic Occidental. Sisterhood lasts beyond graduation and our alumnae offer a strong network that offers support and coveted internships. Alpha Delta Pi is the proud recipient of the Gold Standard Award for each of the four years the award has been offered by GW.
